The 50 pieces are big and irregular, so my daughter has to actually think about where each one fits instead of just matching edges. The glitter on the unicorn is subtle enough that it doesn't shed all over the carpet. Took us about an hour the first time and she's asked to redo it twice since.
My 4-year-old actually sat still for almost an hour putting this together, which never happens. The 50 irregular pieces are thick enough that they don't bend when she's shoving them around, and the finished 2x3 foot unicorn looks great on her floor.
The pieces are big and the glitter is a nice touch, but my 5-year-old found the 50-piece count a bit easy for the "challenging" claim. It took us about two sittings to finish the 2x3 FT unicorn, and now he wants a bigger one.
