The 48 pieces are big enough that my 4-year-old can grip them easily, and the irregular shapes actually make her think instead of just matching edges. We've done it four times this week already, and the forest animals give us plenty to talk about while we build.

My 5-year-old actually sat still for almost an hour putting this together, which never happens. The 48 irregular pieces are big enough that his little hands can grip them easily, and the forest animals gave us plenty to talk about.

The pieces are nice and chunky for little hands, and my 5-year-old liked fitting the irregular shapes together on the floor. Took her a few tries to finish the forest scene, but she was proud once it was done. Only wish the box had a picture to reference while building.
