    My 5-year-old is obsessed with the Sister Mermaids one — the glitter on the pieces actually catches the light and makes her slow down instead of rushing. 30 pieces is the sweet spot for her age, easy enough to finish alone but still a little challenge.

    The glitter on the Princesses at the Ball puzzle is a nice touch, but it sheds a little onto the table and my daughter's hands. The 30 pieces are a good fit for her age, though she finished both puzzles in one sitting and lost interest.
