My 4 year old finished the whole ocean scene on the floor in one sitting, which never happens. The irregular piece shapes actually make it tricky enough that she had to think, not just match colors. We've done it four times this week already.
The 48 pieces are big enough that my 5-year-old can grab them without frustration, and the ocean scene is detailed enough to keep her hunting for the right spot. We've done it three afternoons in a row now, which says a lot.
